New Delhi, June 19: The Ministry of Education has cancelled the UGC-NET exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 18, citing concerns over the integrity of the exam. An official press release from the Ministry of Education confirmed this decision, emphasizing the need to maintain the highest standards of transparency and fairness in the examination process.

The Ministry stated that the UGC-NET June 2024 examination, held in two shifts across various cities, is now void. Details regarding a rescheduled exam will be announced separately.

On June 19, 2024, the University Grants Commission (UGC) received reports from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. These reports suggest potential compromises in the exam's integrity. Consequently, the Central Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I.) will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
