JKBOSE Delays Class 11th Results, Students Await Outcome

Srinagar, July 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has yet to release the results for Class 11 students, causing anxiety among thousands awaiting their academic results.

According to regulations, JKBOSE is expected to announce results within 40 days after the conclusion of exams. However, despite over 40 days passing since exams ended, the results remain pending.

Class 11 exams for soft zone areas were conducted from April 2 to May 1, 2024, while exams for hard zone areas were held from April 22 to May 26, 2024, as per the revised datesheet issued earlier.

The delay has disrupted academic schedules, with many students hesitant to move forward without knowing their results. This uncertainty has led to low attendance in schools, particularly before the summer vacation, which runs from July 8 to July 17, 2024, in Kashmir division.

Expressing concern, teachers and parents have urged JKBOSE to expedite the result declaration process. "Traditionally, results are declared within 40 days. This delay is unprecedented," remarked a school teacher who preferred to remain anonymous.

In response, a JKBOSE official assured that the Class 11 results would be announced soon but did not provide specifics regarding the delay.
