Girls Outperform Boys in J&K 10th Board Exams; 79.94% Students Pass

Srinagar, April 30 (GNS) – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday announced the results of the Class 10 annual examinations, revealing a pass percentage of 79.94%.

According to a JKBOSE official, a total of 145,671 students had appeared in the examination—75,427 boys and 70,244 girls. Out of these, 116,453 students successfully qualified, while 29,093 failed.

Girls outshined boys in terms of performance, achieving a higher pass percentage of 81.24% (57,063) compared to boys who recorded a pass percentage of 78.74% (59,390).

Additionally, 16,343 students secured marks between 90 and 100 percent, while 18,678 scored between 80 and 89 percent.

This year also marked a significant change as the board simultaneously announced the results of both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. The Class 12 results showed a 75% pass rate, with 77,311 out of 103,308 students qualifying.
