All Examinations in J&K to Proceed as Scheduled: Education Minister Sakina Itoo

Srinagar, Sept 18 (KNO): Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday assured that all examinations across Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted on schedule as per the academic calendar. She said the government is also gathering feedback from stakeholders to find ways of compensating the learning losses students suffered.
Interacting with reporters, the minister noted that students’ education had been severely disrupted—first by a war-like situation, then an intense heatwave, and more recently by flood-like conditions.
She added that several schools in both Jammu and Kashmir regions were damaged during these calamities but reiterated, “All exams will take place on time.”
Itoo further said the department is actively consulting all stakeholders to address the academic setbacks faced by students this year. “Last year we shifted the academic session from March to November–December, which was a major challenge, but now the system has been largely streamlined,” she added. —(KNO)
