Government Schools Trail by 19 Percent in 10th Standard Results

Government Schools Achieve a Pass Percentage of 72.91 Percent, Private Schools Excel with 91.83 Percent**

Srinagar, Jun 13 (KNO): The annual regular results for the 10th standard examination reveal a significant gap between government and private schools, with government-run schools lagging behind by 19 percent.

According to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), private schools are outperforming government schools by 18.92 percent in pass rates.

Official data indicates that out of 97,143 students from government schools who appeared for the exams, 70,828 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 72.91 percent.

In contrast, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) reports that 91.83 percent of students from private schools passed the exams. Specifically, out of 48,993 private school students who took the 10th standard exams, 44,988 passed.

Notably, JKBOSE announced the overall pass percentage for the 10th standard annual regular examinations as 79.25 percent on Thursday.

Previously, on June 6, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education released the 12th standard annual regular results, showing an overall pass percentage of 74 percent—(KNO)
