Srinagar, 9th November 2024 — The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has released the official date sheet for the summative assessments of students in Classes 1 through 9 across schools in the Kashmir Division, both government and private.
The exams are scheduled to take place from November 25 to December 6, 2024, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM each day. According to the timetable, students will begin with the English exam on November 25, followed by Hindi/Urdu and Kashmiri on November 27 and 29, respectively. The remaining subjects, including Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, will be conducted on subsequent dates.
Each grade has been assigned a specific order of subjects to maintain consistency throughout the region. The DSEK has also instructed schools to adapt paper-setting and evaluation practices to cater to the individual learning needs of students, emphasizing a holistic approach to assessment.
The results are expected to be finalized and announced by December 15, 2024, allowing students to transition smoothly into the next academic phase. This notification has been shared with all relevant education authorities to ensure uniformity in implementation across Kashmir Division.
