Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNS): Students appearing for the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Class 11th examinations have called on the authorities to postpone their upcoming paper due to heavy snowfall and continuous rainfall affecting the valley.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the fresh snowfall in hilly regions of North, South, and Central Kashmir has led to road blockages, making travel difficult. Additionally, persistent rains have caused waterlogging in several low-lying areas, further complicating transportation.

Reports indicate that snowfall has now begun in plain areas of North and South Kashmir as well, adding to the hardships faced by students trying to reach their exam centers.

Concerned students and parents have reached out to KNS, urging that the issue be highlighted so that higher authorities take necessary action. They fear that worsening weather conditions may prevent many students from attending the exam.

Notably, the Meteorological Department has forecast more snowfall and rainfall over the next 24 hours, potentially worsening the situation.

In light of these challenges, students and parents have appealed to the administration to promptly reschedule the exam, prioritizing student safety and convenience. (KNS)
