Srinagar, April 26 (KNO):
In a first-of-its-kind move, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) is planning to declare the results of both the 10th and 12th classes on the same day.
Top officials from BOSE informed the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that preparations are underway to possibly announce the results by April 30, or latest by May 1.
“We are aiming to release the 12th standard results on April 30,” an official said, adding, “There is an 80 percent probability that results will be declared on that date, but if any unforeseen delay occurs, the results will be out on May 1.”
Regarding the 10th standard results, the official mentioned that BOSE has a window from April 30 to May 2 to announce them. “However, the effort is to publish both the 10th and 12th results simultaneously, setting a new precedent for the board,” he said.
“Our staff is working tirelessly to make this happen,” he added.
According to data shared by BOSE, around 3,55,963 students appeared for the annual examinations of classes 10th, 11th, and 12th. This includes 1,32,992 students of class 10th, 1,20,673 students of class 11th, and 1,02,298 students of class 12th.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Sakina Itoo had instructed BOSE and related authorities to ensure the results are announced by April 30.-(KNO)
