In a major shift from tradition, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is planning to declare the results of both Class 10th and 12th on the same day. This would mark the first time the board has released multiple class results simultaneously.
According to officials, the results are expected to be announced on April 30, with a fallback date of May 1 in case of any delays. “There’s an 80 percent chance that Class 12th results will be out on April 30. If not, we’ll declare them on May 1,” a board official stated.
The official added that Class 10th results may also be released on the same day. However, the timeline for Class 10th extends up to May 2, allowing a small buffer period.
“We’re working round the clock to make this happen. The goal is to set a new precedent by announcing multiple results together,” the official said.
This year, a total of 3,55,963 students appeared in the annual exams across Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th. Among them, 1,32,992 appeared in Class 10th, 1,20,673 in Class 11th, and 1,02,298 in Class 12th.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo has instructed the board to ensure the results are declared by April 30.(GNS)
