Education Minister Sakeena Itoo Directs JKBOSE to Declare 10th, 11th & 12th Results by April-End

Srinagar, April 2 (JKNS): Education Minister Sakeena Masood Itoo has directed the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to ensure that results for Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th are announced by the end of April.
Chairing a high-level meeting to assess JKBOSE’s operations, Minister Itoo emphasized the importance of timely result declarations to prevent academic disruptions and enable students to transition smoothly to their next academic levels.
During the meeting, she reviewed key aspects of JKBOSE’s functioning, including examination procedures, curriculum updates, and IT advancements. She stressed the need to modernize infrastructure, streamline administration, and incorporate advanced technology to improve efficiency and accessibility in the education system.
Highlighting the importance of inclusive education, the minister called for special attention to Children With Special Needs (CWSN). She instructed officials to intensify awareness campaigns and ensure the effective implementation of special provisions, such as:
- Exam fee exemptions for students with disabilities
- 5% relaxation in pass percentage for board exams
- Flexible academic policies to support special needs students
Additionally, she directed the Directors of School Education in Jammu and Kashmir to collaborate closely with JKBOSE to strengthen the education system across the region.
Minister Itoo emphasized continuous engagement with stakeholders, proactive policymaking, and student-centric reforms to enhance academic standards.
During the meeting, the JKBOSE Secretary presented a detailed report on the board’s initiatives, particularly IT-based interventions aimed at improving student services.
