Srinagar, April 18 – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is expected to announce the results of the annual regular Class 12th exams by April 30, 2025, with Class 10th results to be declared shortly after.

A senior official from the School Education Department (SED) informed Greater Kashmir that the Education Minister has set a deadline for the declaration of both Class 10th and 12th results by the end of April.

“Priority has been given to Class 12th results due to students needing to apply for higher education. There’s a 95 percent chance the results will be out by April 30, and possibly even earlier by two days if everything proceeds smoothly,” the official said.

The evaluation of Class 12th papers was completed on April 14, and the data has since been forwarded for digital processing. Meanwhile, the evaluation for Class 10th exams is currently underway and is expected to finish by Sunday. Portions of the completed Class 10th evaluation have already been sent for computing, with the process happening in parallel to Class 12th.

“Once Class 12th results are declared, Class 10th results will follow immediately,” the official added.

Additionally, around 75 percent of the evaluation for Class 11th exams has been completed, though those results will be released after Class 10th and 12th. “We’re not rushing the Class 11th results,” the official noted.

Earlier, Education Minister Sakina Itoo chaired a meeting with JKBOSE officials and set clear timelines for result declarations. “The Board is working diligently to release all results on schedule,” the official emphasized.

This year, Board exams for Classes 10 to 12 were conducted in February following the government’s restoration of the traditional November academic session.

According to official data:

  • 355,963 students appeared across all three classes.
    • Class 10th: 132,992 students (114,413 in soft zones, 18,579 in hard zones) in 1,553 centers.
    • Class 11th: 120,673 students (109,137 in soft zones, 11,536 in hard zones) in 1,134 centers.
    • Class 12th: 102,298 students (93,586 in soft zones, 8,712 in hard zones) in 989 centers.

Exams in soft zone areas for Classes 10 and 12 began on February 15, while Class 11th exams started on February 18.
