DSEJ Declares Summer Vacation for Jammu Division Schools from June 7 to July 16
Teachers to Resume Duties on July 14; Online Support for Students Mandatory During Break
Jammu, May 31 (JKNS):
The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has officially announced the summer vacation schedule for government and recognized private schools in the summer zone of Jammu division. As per the order accessed by JKNS, the vacation will be observed from June 7 to July 16, 2025.
While students will remain on holiday during this period, teaching staff are required to report back to their respective schools on July 14, two days before classes resume. This is to ensure proper preparations for the reopening.
Teachers have been instructed to focus on cleanliness, creation of teaching-learning materials, lesson and timetable planning, and readiness of ICT labs and other digital facilities for blended learning.
Importantly, the order emphasizes that teachers must remain available for online academic support throughout the vacation period. Failure to comply with these directives—either by school heads or teaching staff—will result in disciplinary action as per the rules.
The DSEJ has also instructed the In-Charge of the Computer Section to upload this circular on the official website to ensure public access. (JKNS)
