Kashmir Colleges to Close from July 15 to July 24

Srinagar, May 30 (JKNS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has officially announced the summer vacation schedule for Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory.

According to the notification, all degree colleges in the Kashmir Division will remain closed for summer break from July 15 to July 24, 2025.

In the Jammu Division, institutions have been divided into two zones with different schedules:

• Summer Zone colleges will observe vacations from June 1 to July 15, 2025.
• Winter Zone colleges will follow the same schedule as Kashmir, closing from July 15 to July 24, 2025.

A senior official from the Higher Education Department confirmed the vacation dates to JKNS, stating that the announcement has been made to allow institutions and students to plan accordingly.
