DSEK Issues Heatwave Guidelines for Schools in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 15 (KNS): In response to the rising temperatures across the Valley, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has released a heatwave advisory for all schools, emphasizing student safety and well-being.

DSEK Director Dr. G.N. Itoo urged school authorities to take necessary precautions, stating:

  • Morning assemblies should be held indoors or under shaded areas.
  • All outdoor sports and physical activities must be avoided after 10 AM.
  • Students should be protected from direct sun exposure as much as possible.

“Student well-being remains our utmost priority,” Dr. Itoo added, stressing that all institutions must strictly implement these guidelines.
