Sakina Itoo Orders Closure of Schools, Colleges Across J&K Tomorrow

Srinagar, Aug 27 (KNO): In view of the worsening weather situation, Health and Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Wednesday announced that all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, across Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed tomorrow (Thursday).
The Minister said the decision was taken after continuous heavy rainfall led to flood-like conditions across the region. Water levels in river Jhelum and other streams in Kashmir have crossed the flood declaration mark, while in Jammu division, rivers are flowing above the danger level.
