JKBOSE 2025 Exam Update | 15% Syllabus Relaxation & Grading Explained

JKBOSE 2025 Exam Update | 15% Syllabus Relaxation & Grading Explained

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has introduced a 15% syllabus relaxation for students of Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th appearing in the Annual Regular 2025 exams.

This means students will need to attempt only 85% of the total marks, and their scores will be proportionally scaled to 100% during evaluation. ✅

Here’s the breakdown 👇

  • For an 80-mark paper, you’ll answer 68 marks only.
  • For a 70-mark paper, you’ll answer 59.5 marks only.

Your marks will then be adjusted to reflect the complete score fairly after the relaxation.

Example:
If a student secures 60 marks out of 68 in an 80-mark paper, it will be scaled to 70.6 out of 80 (88%) after evaluation.

💡 This 15% open-choice system aims to promote fairness, flexibility, and reduced exam stress among JKBOSE students.
