All Schools in Jammu Division to Stay Closed on Oct 6 & 7 Amid Heavy Rain Alert: DSEJ

Jammu, Oct 5 (KNC): The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced a two-day closure for all government and private schools across the Jammu Division due to the forecast of heavy rainfall.
According to an official order issued by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu, and reported by Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the step has been taken following a weather advisory from the Indian Meteorological Department predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in several areas.
“In view of the safety of students and staff, all Government and Private Schools in Jammu Division shall remain closed on 06-10-2025 (Monday) and 07-10-2025 (Tuesday),” the directive states.
The DSEJ added that further instructions will be shared depending on the evolving weather conditions. (KNC)
