JKBOSE Issues Crucial Circular on Roll Number & Question Paper Series Verification

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Rehari Colony Jammu, has released an important circular regarding the proper verification of roll numbers and question paper series on students’ answer sheets for the upcoming Annual Regular Examinations (February–March 2026) of Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th.
The circular has been circulated to all Heads of Sub/Branch Offices and Heads of Institutions serving as examination centres. They have been directed to guide centre superintendents to strictly ensure that every candidate correctly writes their roll number and question paper series on the answer scripts.
As per the instructions, supervisors will bear primary responsibility for verifying that candidates have properly mentioned their roll number and series before signing the answer sheets. Furthermore, Deputy Superintendents must conduct a mandatory second check to avoid any discrepancies.
Centre Superintendents have also been asked to brief examination staff daily, enforce strict compliance with the directions, and conduct random inspections to ensure full adherence to the circular.
The circular, issued under reference No. PS/JSE/B/JD/2026 and dated February 16, 2026, has been signed by the Joint Secretary (Exams).
