Jumat-ul-Vida Holiday Advanced to March 13 in J&K

Srinagar, Mar 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government has preponed the public holiday for Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
As per an official order issued by the government, the holiday will now be observed on March 13, 2026 (Friday) instead of the previously scheduled March 20, 2026. The order serves as a partial modification to Government Orders No. 1894-JK(GAD) of 2025 and 1895-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated December 12, 2025.
Following the revised notification, all government offices, educational institutions and other public sector establishments across the Union Territory will remain closed tomorrow in observance of Jumat-ul-Vida—(KNO).
