Srinagar | April 13 (KNO): In the wake of a heartbreaking bus accident that resulted in the loss of two young lives, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), G.N. Itoo, has issued a fresh advisory to all schools across the Valley.

Itoo urged all educational institutions to obtain mandatory permissions from the relevant authorities—such as the Chief Education Officer—before planning any school picnics or excursions.

He stressed that schools must inform local authorities in advance wherever their assistance is needed, and that teachers should be present with students throughout the duration of such trips.

“Every aspect, from transportation to other logistical arrangements, must be handled with utmost care and planned ahead of time,” he said.

While acknowledging that picnics are an essential part of student life, Itoo emphasized, “Students absolutely deserve to enjoy these outings, but their safety must always come first.”
