📍 Srinagar | June 21 | Report by Shah Amir – Kashmir News Bulletin
Due to the ongoing heatwave and rising temperatures, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has officially declared a 15-day summer vacation for all government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division.
According to Order No. 167-DSEK of 2025, issued on June 21, all schools — from primary to higher secondary level — will remain closed from June 23 to July 7, 2025. Regular classes are scheduled to resume on July 8, 2025.
The directive was issued with approval from the competent authority in light of the severe weather conditions, prioritizing the health and safety of students and staff.
Parents are advised to take necessary precautions during this break, including keeping children hydrated and limiting outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
This order is applicable to all government and private educational institutions across the valley.
