No Private Coaching Centre Allowed Without Registration: DSEK
One-Month Deadline Given for Registration
Srinagar, June 28 (KNO): Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), G N Itoo, on Saturday stated that private coaching centres will not be permitted to operate without proper registration.
He informed that all coaching centres have been given a period of one month to complete their registration process.
Speaking to media persons, Itoo said, “Any group intending to run a private coaching centre must obtain registration. The key benefit of registration is that these centres reserve 10 percent of seats for underprivileged students.”
He emphasised, “No coaching centre will be allowed to function without registration under any circumstances.”
The director further added that while many centres already have registration, they are required to renew it to continue operations.
Highlighting the importance of registration, he said, “The main condition laid down by the School Education Department is ensuring the safety and welfare of students.”
Additionally, the directorate clarified that coaching centres will not be allowed to operate during school hours.
