No Extension Needed for Summer Vacations as Heat Likely to Ease from Tomorrow: Weather Forecaster

Srinagar, July 6 (JKNS): With people keenly awaiting updates on a possible extension of school summer vacations amid the prevailing heatwave, weather experts have predicted a notable drop in temperatures across Kashmir starting Monday, offering relief from the current hot conditions.
According to independent weather forecaster Faizan Arif from Kashmir Weather, quoted by JKNS, there is “100% certainty” that temperatures will start to decline gradually and remain comfortable for at least the coming week. “Some days could even witness below-normal temperatures,” he added.
However, humidity levels are expected to continue until the monsoon concludes, most likely around August or September.
Faizan Arif asserted that there is no valid reason to prolong the summer break. “Forecast models are showing strong consensus that temperatures will come down,” he said. “We should not expect July weather to be similar to that of April or October.”
He further clarified that temperatures hovering around 31–32°C are typical for July in Kashmir and do not justify closure of schools. (JKNS)
