Govt Extends Summer Vacation for Kashmir Schools Till July 22

Srinagar, July 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has extended the summer vacation for all Government and recognized private schools across the Kashmir Division and the winter zones of the Jammu Division until July 22, 2026 (Wednesday).

Announcing the decision on X, Minister for School Education & Higher Education Sakina Itoo said the extension has been approved in view of the prevailing weather conditions and the ongoing weather advisory.

The Minister stated that all Government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division and the winter zones of the Jammu Division will remain closed up to July 22 (Wednesday) to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff amid the current weather situation.
