The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a fresh notice cautioning students against opting for vocational subjects in unauthorised educational institutions.

As per the notification, no private institution is permitted to offer vocational subjects under the current scheme of studies without prior approval from the Government or the SAMAGRA Project Directorate. Likewise, Government schools are also barred from admitting students to vocational trades unless duly authorised by SAMAGRA Shiksha.

The Board has further stated that Heads of unauthorised institutions enrolling students in such trades will face penal and disciplinary action. Moreover, the candidature of students violating these norms will be considered invalid from the outset, leading to automatic cancellation of their vocational subject examinations.

JKBOSE has also directed that students opting for vocational subjects must ensure they select only authorised institutions while seeking migration or eligibility transfers.

All Heads of Institutions, students, and stakeholders have been urged to strictly comply with these directions.
